I took a simple frame and spray painted it black.
Then I hot glued two different colored pink ribbons on the inner back edge of the frame and it looks like this:
I’ll either sell this one or give it to my niece considering I don’t have a daughter of my own to use it for.
I also made another Earring holder…This one is purple and is just too stinking cute:
Both of these projects cost under $1 to make. I had the black frame from a long time ago and just re-purposed it while the purple frame I bought at a garage sale and painted it with some purple spray paint. The jewelry, wire mesh, and ribbon were materials I already had on hand.
WHAT MAKES THE PERFECT STOCKING STUFFER?
It is soooo easy to make and way better than the stuff bought at a store!
This recipe makes the best, most squishiest, longest lasting playdough you have ever played with!
You can make your kids’ favorite colors and put them in cute little containers to throw in their stockings at Christmas!!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1 CUP FLOUR
1 CUP WATER
1/4 CUP SALT
2 tsp. CREAM OF TARTER
1 Tbsp. VEGETABLE OIL
FOOD COLORING OF YOUR CHOICE ( use as many drops to reach your desired color)
Just dump all the ingredients into your pot and give them a good stir. Enlist some small help if possible – they will think you are magic.
Put your pot on the stove and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it forms into a ball.
As soon as it joins into one big glob, take it off the heat and dump it onto your counter or some wax paper. Wait for it to cool, then knead it a few times until it is nice and soft. This is where you have to use a little self control to let the kids have a turn too.:)
This would make a perfect gift for any kid – not just for Christmas, I’m thinking birthdays, party favors, gifts for the classroom kids, cousins, neighbors, anyone!
You can use these printables to decorate your container or choose from many others from ishare.
